Solana has reached a new milestone in tokenized equity adoption with 1.5 million holders, now linked with stock-associated tokens on the blockchain. The network’s official X account announced the figure on October 26, describing it as an all-time high and a fivefold increase since August. The growth comes as tokenized stocks gain traction across blockchain networks, giving users access to digital representations of conventional equities through on-chain platforms. Alongside the rising holder count, Solana has recorded massive tokenized stock trading activity and an expanding supply of tokenized equities, demonstrating that the sector is becoming a more prominent part of its financial sphere.
Major Growth Factor in Solana’s Tokenized Equity Holders
The newest milestone follows a surge in the number of addresses holding tokenized stocks of Solana over recent months. The network reached approximately 1.2 million holders in early October, with 775,000 new holders reportedly joining during September. The count subsequently climbed to 1.4 million on October 19 before passing 1.5 million. The fivefold rise since August points to the expanding reach of blockchain-based equity products.
These products represent conventional stocks or offer economic exposure to equities through tokens that can be transferred and traded using blockchain infrastructure. Depending on the product, holders may access tokenized shares through decentralized exchanges and other on-chain financial applications.
The Solana September ecosystem report also demonstrated growing activity in tokenized stocks. Trading volume reached approximately $4.4 billion during the month, while tokenized equity supply reached $684 million. The network had already crossed one million cumulative tokenized stock holder wallets during September.
These figures represent different nuances of the market. Holder count tracks addresses associated with tokenized equities, trading volume measures transactions over a period, and tokenized equity supply represents the value of outstanding tokens. Altogether, they provide a wider picture of adoption than any single metric. However, the 1.5 million figure should not be interpreted as 1.5 million verified individual stakeholders. A single person can control multiple wallets, and some addresses may belong to applications or other entities. The metric demonstrates the spread of tokenized equity holdings across on-chain addresses rather than a confirmed count of unique people.
How Is Solana’s Tokenized Market Expanding?
The increase in holders has coincided with rising trading activity and a broader range of tokenized equity products on Solana. Decentralized exchanges on the network recorded approximately $7.1 billion in tokenized equity trading during the third quarter. It was also reported that Solana accounted for around 14% of the $49.7 billion in tokenized equity DEX trading across networks during the quarter.
The ecosystem includes products from providers such as xStocks, alongside offerings from other tokenized platforms. These products allow users to gain blockchain-based exposure to individual stocks and exchange-traded funds. It is even though their legal structures, redemption terms, and shareholder rights can differ.
Solana’s September ecosystem update also described the expansion of financial applications built around tokenized equities. These include lending strategies that use tokenized stocks as collateral, trading integrations, and products that allow tokenized assets to interact with decentralized finance protocols. Such integrations can create additional uses for tokenized equities beyond simply holding or trading them.
Growth is underway as regulators and market participants examine how conventional securities can operate on public blockchain networks. Solana’s September report noted that the US Securities and Exchange Commission issued a 5-year conditional exemption on September 17 for qualifying activity involving tokenized National Market System stocks, subject to specific conditions.
The latest holder milestone suggests that tokenized equities are reaching a broader base of on-chain addresses, while trading activity and available supply point to an expanding market. Whether this growth continues will depend on liquidity, product availability, stakeholder demand and the governance requirements regulating tokenized securities.
For Solana, the increase to 1.5 million tokenized equity holders marks a significant adoption milestone. The next test will be whether the increase in addresses translates into sustained trading activity, deeper liquidity and continued growth in the value of tokenized stocks on the network.
