Key Highlights
- Robinhood Chain has surpassed $100 billion in cumulative DEX trading volume in less than 4 months.
- Real-world assets (RWAs) and stablecoins drove much of the growth as Stock Tokens hit $15 billion in volume with more than 190 equities.
- Despite growth in on-chain activities, daily transactions dropped by 42% in early October even as TVL stayed above $1 billion and perps volume rose.
In just 3.5 months of its launch, Robinhood Chain created another milestone as its total trading volume surpassed over $100 billion, sparking euphoria within the Robinhood community. The Ethereum Layer-2 network, which is built on Arbitrum Orbit technology, achieved a major milestone this week, as confirmed by Robinhood Chain.
The chain went live on July 1, 2026. In roughly 100 days, it accumulated more than $100 billion in total DEX volume. This is among the fastest volume build-ups for a newly launched blockchain in the crypto sector. About $37.6 billion of that total came in the last 30 days, with Uniswap handling the majority of the flow.
According to DeFiLlama, Robinhood Chain shows strong on-chain activity. The chain currently records $1.112 billion in 24-hour DEX volume and $6.396 billion over the last 7 days. Perpetual futures volume stands at $1.089 billion in the last 24 hours. Total volume locked in DeFi revolves around $1.057 billion.
Real-World Assets, Tokenized Stocks, and Stablecoins Support Network Growth
According to on-chain data, the total value locked on Robinhood Chain currently revolves around $1.057 billion, thanks to growing real-world assets and stablecoin activities on the chain.
Tokenized real-world assets, generally Stock Tokens, and stablecoins have played major roles in the chain’s expansion. Robinhood reported that its Stock Tokens generated $15 billion in DEX volume during the first 100 days. At present, more than 190 tokenized equities are live, held by around 200,000 users in more than 100 countries.
These tokenized stocks represent economic exposure to U.S. equities and ETFs such as NVDA, AAPL, GME, SPY, and SpaceX. They trade 24/7 on decentralized venues and can be used in lending markets or as collateral. They do not provide legal ownership or voting rights and remain unavailable to users that are based in the United States. In September, Robinhood captured around 42% of on-chain tokenized equity trading volume, which is roughly around $6.57 billion.
Transactions Drop 42% Amid Major Shift in On-Chain Activities
Despite the growth in trading volume, Robinhood Chain has experienced a major drop in transaction activity. According to Dune Analytics, average daily transactions fell by 42%, dropping from 10.8 million in mid-September to 6.2 million in early October. Daily active addresses also dropped around 31% to about 322,000 over the same period.
Weekly spot trading volume decreased 21% to $7.45 billion in the latest measured week. Network fees paid by users averaged roughly $65,000 per day, down 39% week-over-week. Robinhood continues to subsidize gas fees on token swaps above 50 cents through its wallet app, with the promotion extended to December 31, 2026.
Robinhood Chain’s Trading Ecosystem Grows with Major Integrations
Uniswap dominates trading on the chain, often accounting for 70% to 80% or more of DEX volume. Other active venues include Fables, RamsesX, and specialized platforms. Perpetual activity is supported by protocols such as Lighter and Arcus.
The network was developed to support tokenized stocks, real-world assets, lending, and broader DeFi use cases. Early growth included heavy memecoin activity that helped bootstrap liquidity, later joined by more stable Stock Token and stablecoin flows. It was joined by major partners such as Uniswap, Alchemy, BitGo, and Chainlink.
Robinhood retains the majority of network fee revenue under its arrangement with Arbitrum. The chain’s rapid growth was aided by Robinhood’s well-established brand along with permissionless token launches, gas subsidies, and the interaction between memecoins and tokenized stocks.
As of the latest DeFiLlama data, 24-hour application fees soared to $2.85 million, while chain fees remain modest at around $49,000.
