Mercado Bitcoin recently announced listing BTT (BitTorrent) on its exchange. The announcement was made on the official X/Twitter account of BitTorrent.
Traders can now purchase and sell BTT on the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Brazil. BitTorrent expressed in a tweet that the group is ecstatic to be collaborating with Mercado Bitcoin. Mercado Bitcoin, being the largest exchange in Brazil, will gain access to a substantial user demographic for BTT.
The listing was also confirmed by the Brazilian exchange on X. The tweet by the platform read that users can now trade BTT with much lower fees and a faster pace. Traders can start investing with R$1 and diversify their portfolio with the diverse utility token that elevates BitTorrent’s transmission network.
The Brazilian crypto market has been rejoicing since 2024, as this is Mercado Bitcoin’s second huge listing. The platform recently added Tron DAO’s native token, TRX, to its platform. The announcement was also shared on Mercado Bitcoin’s official X/Twitter account.
As for BitTorrent, the crypto has been witnessing growth as well. According to a recent tweet, the number of miners of BTFS has crossed 7.4 million. The overall number of contracts on BTFS has also passed 136 million. Besides this, BitTorrent also confirmed that BTFS 2.3.5 is being developed.
Despite the announcements and growth, BTT is facing hurdles in the market. The coin has lost 2.69% of its value in the past 24 hours. It is currently trading at 0.000001022 dollars, having lost 6.06% of its value in the past week. The coin has been on a bearish run for a while, with a 15.90% value loss in the past month.
As the crypto market gains momentum, such advancements are expected to help BTT in the long run.
