2025: Laying the Foundation and Building Momentum
This year Aster has achieved some great milestones. The merger of Astherus with ApolloX brought in two other platforms together and gave users more ways to trade in one place.
The other big upgrade was the multi-asset margin trading, which allows traders to use different assets for margin and enjoy more flexibility. Hedge Mode was added so that the users could protect themselves during big market swings by allowing long and short positions at the same time.
Aster also managed to launch the Trade & Earn program to reward its active traders and the buyback plan helped Aster to support the price of $ASTER tokens. Another big step was releasing a mobile app that let users manage their trades on the go.
Together, all of these developments have created a strong foundation for the next phases of Aster’s growth.
2026 Focus
The main aim of 2026 is to focus on foundational engines which includes Infrastructure, Token Utility and Ecosystem Community. These three pillars will be designed in such a way that they reinforce one another in a continuous cycle of growth and innovation.
Infrastructure Innovation Set
As December kicks off, Aster is planning to introduce Shield Mode, an upgrade that will allow users to trade with high leverage privately and provide extra protection to those who prefer to keep their trading strategies confidential.
This feature is basically for professional and institutional traders who need great privacy tools and a lot more control over their positions. This mode will also support TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) strategy, which will let traders break a large order into smaller pieces and execute it slowly over time.
All of this is being planned so that it can attract a great amount of professional traders and bring in maturity to the platform.
Expanding Real-World Asset (RWA) Markets and Aster Chain Testnet
By mid-December, Aster is planning to roll out more real-world asset products, that includes expanded stock perpetual markets, bringing traditional finance closer to decentralized trading.
By the end of this year, Aster will also release the testnet for its own Layer-1 blockchain, Aster Chain, which will allow the community to test the network and contribute to development before the mainnet goes live.
Ambitious 2026 Milestones
Aster is getting ready for major updates to be rolled out in 2026. In Q1, the platform will launch the Aster Chain Layer-1 mainnet, a milestone that will bring the project into its own blockchain era. Aster will also introduce the Aster Code, a space where developers can build decentralized apps and tools on top of the Aster Chain.
To make things easier for users, the platform will also bring in a feature that will let users deposit and withdraw fiat currency directly, so that moving money in and out of crypto becomes simpler.
In Q2, the focus will shift toward pushing utilities of the $ASTER token. Staking should go live, which will allow users to earn while holding $ASTER tokens and helping the network stay secure. On-chain governance will also be introduced, which will provide users with a say in future upgrades and decisions.
Aster is also planning on releasing smart-money tools that let everyday users mirror the strategies of top traders, which will make trading more easier and accessible to everyone.
With this roadmap, it is clear that Aster does not want to be just a trading platform, it is building a network that keeps growing with its users. Each new upgrade is meant to make the whole system stronger over time.
