CZ Says, Anyone Help You with Binance Listing is a Scammer
Binance founder, CZ, has responded to the ongoing controversy around the Binance listing and made clear that there is no scope for a middleman to help any token issuers to list their tokens on the cryptocurrency exchange.
“If you see anyone (including middleman, consultants, ex- or current employees) claiming it, please report it. They will be added to a blacklist, and sometimes even published,” CZ said.
Binance is suffering a growing number of fraudulent activities targeting new token projects. The cryptocurrency exchange experienced a sharp increase in scams by individuals who posed as authorized listing agents. These fake agents falsely promise guaranteed token listings on the Binance platform in exchange for large payments.
The exchange has clarified that it does not authorize any third-party agents for this purpose and strongly denies charging fees for listing consideration.
In response, Binance has provided a detailed public update on its legitimate listing framework that will help token creators to list their tokens. These guideline is expected to provide clear guidelines for new token issuers and eliminate third-party agents and scammers.
“We have observed a significant increase in scam attempts where bad actors falsely present themselves as Binance employees (including Business Development staff), official “listing agents,” or authorized intermediaries. They often promise guaranteed listing outcomes in exchange for fees. These claims are entirely fraudulent. No listing is ever guaranteed, and Binance does not charge any fee for project evaluations or listing applications,” stated in the guideline.
The exchange mentioned that all applications must be submitted directly through official channels, such as Binance Alpha for early-stage projects or its Futures and Spot markets.
It warned that any project found to be using unauthorized intermediaries risks immediate disqualification and permanent blacklisting from the platform. As part of its crackdown, Binance has already publicly identified and blacklisted several accused entities and individuals, including firms named BitABC and Central Research, as well as persons Andrea Lee and Suki Yang.
Binance Launches $5 Million Whistleblower Program
Binance has announced the launch of a major whistleblower bounty program to dismantle these fraudulent networks. The exchange is offering rewards of up to $5 million for verifiable information that leads to the successful identification and criminal prosecution of the scammers.
Binance has a precedent for such payouts, having already awarded a total of $100,000 to five separate informants in previous, similar cases.
In late November 2025, more than 300 American victims and families affected by Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel filed a federal lawsuit against Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, and its founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), and executive Guangying Chen. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in North Dakota, accuses them of knowingly facilitating over $1 billion in cryptocurrency transactions for U.S.-designated terrorist groups.
