Following the Ethereum Merge, Axie Infinity and Ronin Bridge will implement Ethereum Proof of Stake (ETHPoS), according to a message made on Tuesday by the Axie Infinity team. Axie Infinity will close the Ronin bridge 24 hours just before the Merge and reopen it once we have received confirmation of support for the Merge to protect the Merge’s integrity.
Additionally, ETHPoW (Ethereum Proof of Work) support won’t be offered. Customers are urged to change their Ronin WETH into Ethereum before the Ronin bridge is shut down to get exposure to ETHPoW.
