Tether International S.A. de C.V. has released its 2nd quarter 2025 attestation report, which a global accounting firm, BDO, conducted. The approximated net profit at the end of the quarter is 4.9 billion dollars. This makes the earnings gained during the first half of 2025 equal 5.7 billion, which can be regarded as a definite mark of Tether’s successful financial structure.
Record Profits and Expanding Treasury Holdings
In the first half of 2025, Tether earned recurring profits of three billion dollars. This profit does not include mark-to-market profit in other investments, such as bitcoin and gold, which added another $2.6 billion. The report details how Tether has managed to achieve success in brand-strengthening its revenue model while preserving operational discipline.

Tether has more than $127 billion in exposure to the U.S. Treasury. The latter is comprised of direct holdings and additional indirect holdings totaling 105.5 and 21.3 billion dollars, respectively. The quarter-over-quarter growth of $8 billion means that it is now one of the most prominent holders of U.S. government debts in the world. The increase occurs as the digital dollar projects have been receiving a lot of attention, particularly with the U.S. passing a bill to strengthen the dollar called the GENIUS Act.
Stablecoin Growth and Financial Confidence
In Q2 2025 alone, Tether issued a mere $13.4 billion in USD 20, which is the amount of increase year-to-date. Consequently, the circulating supply has outpaced the 157 billion dollar mark. This jump is further evidence of an increasing interest in programmable digital dollars worldwide and claims the market confidence in USD₿ because of its reliability as a financial tool.
Shareholders’ equity is stable at 5.47 billion dollars, and this is another aspect that can be called an increase in its durability. Such reserves act as a buffer to the fluctuations of the market and allow the company to act autonomously throughout the economic cycles.
Strategic Investments and Global Outreach
Tether has invested heavily in long-term growth and infrastructure using a sizeable part of its profits. The company has ensured that capital allocation has been high in the past six months, as was the case before. This investment shows confidence in its business and its desire to find innovative ways of going digital.
Recent major efforts involve the deal between XXI Capital, Tether, and Rumble, in which the company is participating in creating the Rumble Wallet. Such initiatives explain why Tether seeks to promote global freedom of finances by making infrastructure investments. Tether alone is playing a large role in its domestic strategy, with about four billion dollars in the U.S. alone this year.
The report shows that Tether had over 162 billion assets as of June 30, 2025. The liabilities were approximately 157 billion dollars, of which 92 percent are linked to the issued tokens. Notably, proprietary investments in spheres such as AI and energy do not contribute to the reserves supporting the USD.
A Vision for a Digital Dollar Future
Tether still offers readily accessible, stable dollar-tied digital currency to inhabitants of more than 150 nations. Working with remittances to institutional adaptation, USD 8 is in the developing digital economy at the center of gravity. In a statement, the company CEO, Paolo Ardoino, further stated that Tether is influencing–and not simply responding to–the world demand in terms of approaching more than $20 billion in new issuance and the high volume of Treasury holdings. Tether has become the working demonstration of stability, scalability, and trust as governments codify digital asset regulations.
