PlayDapp previously announced their plan of integrating Chainlink Verifiable Randomness Function (VRF) with PlayDapp NFT Merge and Upgrade function. The integration is currently live on the Polygon mainnet, allowing them to assist owners of PlayDapp TownNFTs in maximizing the utility and value of their owned NFTs. Consequently, customers may now combine six R or SR-grade NFTs to create a rarer grade NFT, allowing them to reap future advantages from their NFT. Merged NFTs are becoming increasingly valuable and helpful as more PlayDapp projects are launched. Merge users may now use Event Merge to gain additional advantages like PLA or extra NFTs. Event merge is a limited-time technique to enhance Merge prizes in NFT.
The incentives for merging owned NFTs are defined by Chainlink Verifiable Randomness in PlayDapp’s Merge and Upgrade mechanism. DRAGNZ NFTs are substituted if one of the six PLAYZ NFTs required by the PlayDapp ecosystem is absent. PlayDapp uses chainlink VRF to request a random variable (DEC). The Merge and Upgrade function allocates the residual to an NFT grouping based on the division state of this number, which leads to the Merge participant’s payout.
PlayDapp chose Chainlink VRF as the preferred random number generator (RNG) because the user can check the integrity used to produce fair outcomes throughout the merging and upgrading of their NFT. Chainlink VRF helps guarantee that randomness is produced and distributed on-chain in a tamper-proof way, resulting in provably fair and unbiased results for users by providing cryptographic proofs. Outside users and development staff are unable to meddle with the process.
