Metis has officially brought AI-blockchain frontier closer with the launch of Metis Software Development Kit (Metis SDK) and Alith, a next-gen AI agent. Metis SDK, touted as a powerful, open-source framework, is designed to bring high-performance AI and blockchain infrastructure closer together.
Metis SDK Goes Live!
The Metis SDK is a modular, open-source development framework aimed at delivering enhanced throughput, ultra-low latency, and rapid transaction finality, went live on 17 April.
Metis SDK is officially live!
A new era of multi-network scalability, seamless integrations, and blockchain innovation begins now.
The future is here.
The codebase is live and publicly accessible on GitHub:

Built to leverage MetisVM, MetisDB, and parallel execution technologies, it offers seamless integration with the Ethereum ecosystem and full support for Solidity smart contracts – simplifying DApp migration.
As per the project outlined on GitHub, the SDK supports customizable sequencer networks for Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 blockchains.
When it comes to Layer 2 specifically, the Metis Sequencer Network provides multiple decentralized sequencers that help with transaction ordering, validation, and state commitment.
The SDK also launched AI agent integration that supports both on chain and off chain actions like data processing, model inference, and fine-tuning. Among these AI agents is Alith, which is powered by LazAI’s blockchain ecosystem.

Alith – The Privacy-Securing AI Agent
Alith is created to uphold privacy and data sovereignty, using zero-knowledge reasoning to process user data securely without exposure. It delivers real-time, low-latency inference for complex tasks through:
Rust-based performance optimization
Model quantization
JIT and AOT compilation across CPUs, GPUs, and TPUs
Built for the decentralized stack, Alith integrates naturally with wallets, oracles, and on chain protocols. Alith is also compatible with Langchain, Eliza, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and helps with cross-ecosystem AI collaboration and plugin access.
As per the official site, Alith agents can also communicate, collaborate, and negotiate with each other, transforming into autonomous digital entities capable of trading compute, data, and services- a true convergence of AI and decentralized economics.
Speaking about the impact of AI agents like Alith, Daniel Kwak Head of Marketing of LazAI shared, “LazAI rebuilds AI on transparency, fairness, and decentralization. With tokenized data ownership (DATs), AI governance (iDAO — Individual-Centric DAO), and verified computing, we empower contributors, reward participation, and align AI with humanity. Join us to reshape AI’s future—together.”
Notably, Natalia Ameline– the mother of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, is a co-founder of Metis.
