Recently, the decentralized exchange IDEX has proposed an infinite solution to increase the scalability of Ethereum by 1000 times.
Scalability is an important factor and resistance to the adoption of blockchain. According to the recent news, IDEX claimed that its new system, Optimized optimistic Rollups (O2Rs) could reach the block finality within 10 minutes. The firm also said that its system works 1000 times faster than the Optimistic Rollups (ORs) which takes two weeks to reach block finality. The ORs are created by Plasma Group (Ethereum’s Scalability Development Organization).
These rollup solutions help in scaling the Ethereum by shifting the computation off-chain and moving it to the network. Both rollups analyze and validate the data published on-chain.
Many use cases come under this technology. These two protocols differentiated by publishing the data off-chain or on-chain. Like, O2Rs releases the data off-chain until the data is triggered. The new technology has a great potential to improve and increase the scalability of the crypto token and manage all the complicated applications.
On November 6, 2019, the CEO of IDEX, Alex Wearn, tweeted that there are chances of point-of-sale payment systems using the O2Rs protocol in non-custodial payments service to can attain the results of Visa. He also said that this solution would be free for instant transactions on video games’ digital assets.
