Guardicore claims that they have witnessed a P2P botnet, Fritzfrog, consistently breaching SSH services since January. SSH are software programs that provide security solutions and use shell protocols to accept network connections from remote computing devices. Guardicore’s primary aim is to protect digital environments by offering simple cloud security solutions.

According to reports, Fritzfrog tried to “brute force” and disseminate thousands of IP addresses that belong to government offices and banks, and has ruptured approximately 500 servers and damaged the data of universities in the US and Europe.
Reports further stated that Fritzfrog’s P2P implementation was written from scratch, indicating that the attackers were experienced software developers.
