Key Highlights:
- Berachain announces that it is in final phase of restoration.
- The white-hat hacker provided presigned transactions.
- Only one oracle provider is pending to restart the block production as of now.
The Berachain Foundation announced through its social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) that it is now in the final phase of restoring full ecosystem operations following the recent breach that affected the BEX funds. The team confirmed that it has verified and received a presigned transactions from the white-hat hacker who currently holds the compromised assets. This is important because it guarantees that stolen BEX funds can be returned automatically once the network is back online.
Bera core update:
The majority of key partners are ready to go with the exception of a single oracle provider. Given the recent issues around Stream/Elixir etc, oracle providers have been especially slammed over the past 24 hours. They are hoping to be live within hours. We…

Infrastructure Partners Reconnect; One Oracle Provider Pending
According to the latest update that has been shared on foundation’s X (formerly known as Twitter) page, most infrastructure providers and partners have already reconnected to the network, with only one key oracle provider yet to fully restore operations. Berachain noted that the remaining provider has been under “significant pressure” over the past 24 hours due to parallel technical issues involving Stream, Elixir, and related dependencies.
However, the foundation expects the oracle partner to come online “within hours,” after which the chain is anticipated to resume block generation.
Once the chain is back online and blocks begin to be produced again, the previously verified presigned transactions will automatically move the stolen BEX tokens from the white-hat hacker’s wallet directly to the Berachain Foundation’s deployer address. The procedure has already been securely coordinated, meaning no additional input from the white-hat participant will be needed once network activity resumes.
Recovery Plan Helps Stabilize the Ecosystem
This announcement also indicates that this is a turning point for Berachain’s ecosystem, which has faced volatility and operational disruption since the security event.
The foundation is reassuring its users that security and transparency remain its top priorities and the team is effortlessly working towards fully restoring normal operations across the Berachain ecosystem. “We are in the final stage of restoring normal ecosystem activity while ensuring that no further vulnerabilities remain exposed. Every measure has been taken to reinforce the security of network participants and ecosystem partners during this process,” the statement added.
White-Hat Hacker Played a Key Role in Fund Retrieval
It is important to note that proper cooperation from white-hat hackers has also played an important role in easing the entire recovery process. By turning over control of the stolen BEX assets through presigned transactions, the actor ensured that the funds could be returned securely once the blockchain’s technical infrastructure is stable.
Oracle Dependencies Create Temporary Bottlenecks
The network will fully come back online once the remaining oracle is ready. Things are looking positive and people seem a little more confident now. After the system syncs, and starts producing blocks again, Berachain will share an update about the stolen funds being successfully returned and the completion of the recovery process.
This situation has proved how important it is too have a strong oracle systems and good coordination between different service providers in a blockchain network. The delays with Stream and Elixir proved that when many systems are depended on each other, even one issue can quickly create pressure and slow down the entire recovery process.
If Berachain successfully completes the recovery process within the expected timeframe, it could restore community confidence and serve as a model for rapid, transparent incident response in the Web3 sector. The foundation’s proactive communication, emphasis on verifiable fund recovery, and collaboration with ethical security researchers all highlight a structured crisis-management approach rarely executed so efficiently in decentralized finance.
As of the latest update, Berachain expects the chain’s block production to resume soon, paving the way for the automatic return to BEX funds and the full reopening of network operations.
